Accreditation
All seminars are accredited through the New Jersey Funeral Service Education Corporation. Seminars are evaluated by its Board of Trustees to ensure quality and relevance to funeral service. Seminars are submitted for accreditation to the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, the New Jersey State Board of Mortuary Science and other state licensing authorities.
Preregistration Discount Deadline
Preregistration discounts, when available, are honored up to three business days prior to the seminar unless specified otherwise on the promotional materials.
Early Check-In
In-person attendees are to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the published seminar start time to allow sufficient time for check-in and badge pickup at the registration desk. Photo ID required. Webinar attendees should be connected to the session link at least 10 minutes prior to the published webinar start time to allow resolution of any audio, video, or connectivity issues.
Confirmations
Registration confirmations will be emailed to all who pre-registered. Those who do not receive confirmation at least one business day prior to the seminar should contact the NJSFDA office at 800.734.3712.
Continuing Education Verification
All in-person attendees receive a barcoded badge at check-in. The badge must be worn at all times. It will be scanned at the beginning and end of the in-person session, and any time attendees exit or enter the session room. Webinar attendees may be required to answer questions appearing intermittently throughout the session for attendance verification purposes. Additionally, webinar attendees should never exit the presentation until instructed following the conclusion of the training.
The NJFSEC will not grant CEUs to any attendee who misses more than 10 minutes of instructional time during a one-hour seminar or who miss more than 15 minutes of total instructional time during a two-hour seminar. No exceptions.
A continuing education certificate will be issued following the seminar as follows:
Funeral Directors Convention and Expo
Certificates will be issued 30 days after the Convention close.
Mandatory CE Series
Certificates will be issued two weeks following the seminar.
Certified Celebrant Training
Credit verification certificates will be issued 30 days following the conclusion of the training.

Certified Celebrant Training
Payment for celebrant training is nonrefundable. If the original registrant is unable to attend, payment may be transferred to another attendee for that year's training.
Event Attendee Conduct Policy
All attendees and registrants of all NJFSEC sponsored events are expected to abide by the NJSFDA Code of Member Conduct, which has been adopted by the NJFSEC as policy. Any violation of the Code may result in removal from the event with refund of applicable event registration fees, denial of credit(s) and any other sanctions established at the discretion of the NJFSEC.
Photography Release and Disclosure
All photography, video and audio recordings captured by the NJSFDA or any of its affiliated entities are the property of the NJSFDA. The NJSFDA reserves the right to use and distribute such images and recordings at their sole discretion. Participation by the attendee, guest or representative constitutes permission for the NJSFDA to capture and use such images and electronic recordings.
