Accreditation
All seminars are accredited through the New Jersey Funeral Service Education Corporation. Seminars are evaluated by the NJFSEC Board of Trustees to ensure quality and relevance to funeral service. Seminars are submitted for accreditation to the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, the New Jersey State Board of Mortuary Science and other state licensing authorities.
Confirmations
Registration confirmations will be emailed to all who preregister. Those who do not receive confirmation at least one business day prior to the seminar should contact the NJSFDA office at 800.734.3712.
In-Person Continuing Education
All In-Person attendees will receive a barcoded badge at Registration. The badge must be worn at all times. It will be scanned at the beginning of each seminar, and you will be automatically scanned out when the seminar ends. If you leave during the seminar, you must check in with staff members scanning at the door when you exit and re-enter the seminar. The NJFSEC will not grant CEUs to any attendee who misses more than 10 minutes of instructional time during a one-hour seminar or more than 15 minutes of total instructional time during a two-hour seminar. There are no exceptions.
Certificates will be issued no more than 30 days following the last seminar presentation.

Continuing Education On Demand Webinars
The New Jersey Funeral Service Education Corporation is now offering continuing education on demand. These webinars can be accessed anytime, allowing funeral directors the flexibility to learn at a time that works best for their schedules.
Webinar attendees may be required to answer questions that appear intermittently throughout the session for attendance verification purposes.
Webinars are nonrefundable and must be taken within 72 hours of purchase. If you are unable to complete the webinar and poll questions within the timeframe, you must contact Membership Services at 800.734.3712 or adminmembershipservices@njsfda.org to repurchase the webinar.
Certificates will be issued within five days following completion of the webinar.
Funeral Directors Convention and Expo
Certificates will be issued no more than 30 days following the last seminar presentation.

Certified Celebrant Training
Credit verification certificates will be issued no more than 30 days following the conclusion of the training.
Payment for celebrant training is nonrefundable. If the original registrant is unable to attend, payment may be transferred to another attendee for that year’s training.
Event Attendee Conduct Policy
All attendees and registrants of NJFSEC-sponsored events are expected to abide by the NJSFDA Code of Member Conduct, which has been adopted by the NJFSEC as policy. Any violation of the code may result in removal from the event with a refund of applicable registration fees, denial of credits and any other sanctions determined at the discretion of the NJFSEC.
Photography Release and Disclosure
All photography, video and audio recordings captured by the NJSFDA or any of its affiliated entities are the property of the NJSFDA. The NJSFDA reserves the right to use and distribute such images and recordings at its sole discretion. Participation by the attendee, guest or representative constitutes permission for the NJSFDA to capture and use such images and electronic recordings.
