Continuing Education
The New Jersey Funeral Service Education Corporation (NJFSEC) is nationally recognized for offering funeral education programming for licensees in New Jersey. Each year, we endeavor to offer a variety of program selections for licensees to meet their licensure requirements. Most programming is accredited for licensees in neighboring states as well.
In any given licensure period, a funeral professional can receive training in OSHA safety, NJ mandated topics of funeral directing ethics, preneed as well as law and rules, and a plethora of elective subjects. More than enough opportunities to earn the 10 required continuing education units (CEUs) for New Jersey license renewal. For more information on license requirements and renewals, visit the Licensure section of this website.
All NJFSEC programming must meet the standards set by its governing Board of Trustees. The Board is committed to thought-provoking continuing education programs for funeral service professionals in many states, working with the appropriate state governing bodies to provide CEUs acceptable for each state.
To find out if a program is accredited in your state, contact your local licensing authority.
