Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Funeral Director or Intern at Boucher Funeral Home. The Funeral Director or Intern will be responsible for coordinating and arranging funeral services, assisting with embalming and preparation of the deceased, providing support to grieving families, and ensuring all legal requirements are met. This role involves working closely with families, clergy, cemetery staff, and other professionals to ensure a smooth and respectful funeral service.

Qualifications

• Funeral directing license or enrollment in a mortuary science program
• Experience in embalming and funeral planning
• Knowledge of funeral home operations and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in emotionally charged situations
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Sensitivity and empathy towards grieving families
• Valid driver’s license
