The Funeral Directors Convention and Expo hosted annually by the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association is back in September and at a new location!

Registration opens Thursday, May 2, 2024 and will be available online at a discounted price until Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

Full-price registration will be available from Wednesday, August 7, 2024 until online registration closes on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Can’t commit early? Onsite registration will be available.

Registration Options

3 Day All Access Pass – With this registration option, attendees can earn up to six elective CEUs, network and shop with vendors on the Exhibit Hall floor (including a cocktail reception and lunch), have daily all-morning access to coffee and refreshments and socialize with other funeral professionals at a variety of gatherings. You will also receive perks like drink tickets for the Tuesday night Funeral Directors Round-Up and VIP perks* at Yacht Rock Night, this year’s Convention Party.

Feeling lucky? The 3 Day All Access Pass enters you into an NJSFDA-hosted raffle.  You could win upgraded VIP hotel accommodations and amenities, contingent upon you booking your overnight stays at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City using the Convention room block with group code GNJF924.

Single Day Select Pass** – This registration option gives you the flexibility to attend all Convention programming on the day of your choice.  You can earn up to three elective CEUs, walk the Exhibit Hall (Tuesday/Wednesday only), network with funeral professionals and experience one or more of our featured events. Register in advance and choose your day upon arrival.

Exhibit Hall and Networking Pass – If you’re not in need of CE programming but would like to walk the Etess Arena and experience all the Exhibit Hall has to offer, this registration option is best for you. We have extended Exhibit Hall hours on Tuesday and Wednesday this year and eliminated Exhibit Hall hours on Thursday. Additionally, this registration option allows attendees to join us for the networking and social events of their choosing. Add a Yacht Rock Night ticket and join us for this year’s Convention Party.

*To receive this perk, you must purchase a Yacht Rock Night ticket.

** Convention programming is dependent on the day you choose to attend. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are the available days.

Enhance Your Experience with Add-Ons

Yacht Rock Night – Add the Convention party ticket to your registration and join us Wednesday, September 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Sound Waves Theater, featuring live entertainment from Jersey’s own Suit & Mai Tai. This seven-piece band brings the sounds of 70’s classic rock with hits from Steely Dan, Toto, Fleetwood Mac and more! Wear your favorite Hawaiian print, grab a cocktail and enjoy a lively night “at sea”.

Mandatory Continuing Education Seminars – Join us for Mandatory continuing education, presented by the New Jersey Funeral Service Education Corporation, taking place Monday, September 16, 2024, the day before Convention begins. Register separately at www.njfsda.org/registration, and we'll conveniently include all the details with your Convention registration documents.

2024 Cancellation Policy

If you register for the Convention and are unable to attend, you have from:

• Thursday, May 2 through Tuesday, September 3, 2024 to cancel and receive a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee.
• Wednesday, September 4 through Thursday, September 19, 2024 to cancel and receive a 50 percent refund.
• Thursday, September 19 IS THE LAST DAY you can request a cancellation and receive a refund.
