About the Role

We are both a Funeral Home and a full-service trade company located in Bloomfield, NJ, but we serve all of NJ and parts of Pennsylvania. We are seeking a dedicated intern to join our mission of providing compassionate and respectful service to our community and client funeral homes.

What You’ll Do

• Assist one of our funeral directors with arrangements, funeral directing, and embalming.
• Transport decedents with dignity and care, handling remains with the utmost gentleness and respect, for both our funeral home and client funeral homes.
• Collaborate closely with families and team members to uphold our promise of excellence and compassion.
• Respond promptly to calls during on-call periods, dressed professionally and ready to go.
• Maintain meticulous records and follow all legal and professional guidelines.
• Embody our inclusive values by ensuring that every family feels supported and understood.

Who You Are

• A compassionate professional with a clean driving record and a valid NJ driver’s license.
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying (with a partner) weights exceeding 300 pounds.
• Impeccably groomed and dressed professionally in alignment with our brand standards.
• Someone who thrives under pressure and performs tasks independently with integrity.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage stressful situations gracefully.
• Aligned with our commitment to inclusivity, supporting families from all walks of life.
